Syöte is a real gem which is often called the gateway to Lapland. It is located in northern Finland just below the Arctic Circle and is home to Finland’s southern most fells.
We have been lucky enough to bring delighted guests to Syöte for the past 10 years and they are just blown away by the unspoilt nature, open spaces and the easy access to a wide range of thrilling activities. It is a beautiful, isolated location, the nearest large village with shops is 35km away.
Both hotels sit on top of these gentle fells, approximately 10 kms apart, offering fabulous panoramic views, excellent tobogganing, gentle ski slopes and are immersed in nature.
The first thing you notice when you step into Juha and Katarina’s unpretentious and easy going hotel is
the amazing views from the panoramic reception and restaurant, they are breathtaking. We have clients who have returned with us year after year, it is easy to see why. The majority of our clients choose the excellent cabin accommodation but appreciate having all the facilities of a friendly hotel on the door step. Just 150 metres from the hotel are the recently built large wooden Fell top cabins that sleep up to eight people and are extremely well equipped, all with fireplace and sauna.
The pretty snow covered, traditional but rustic one bedroom log cabins, which are ideal for a small family, also all come with fireplace and sauna. They are located approximately 300 metres downhill from the hotel and are therefore not recommended for those with walking difficulties. The hotel offers a small number of twin rooms.
Hotel facilities include a restaurant, bar, saunas, 14m swimming pool and easy access to the near by gentle ski slopes and toboggan slope.
