Helsinki, Capital of Finland
Helsinki, Finland’s capital, is one of Europe’s smallest capital cities with a population of just over half a million people. Visitors love this lively but compact city benefiting from the easy access to all major sights and the ease in which they can become part of the local community, if only for a few days.
The best way to explore is on foot or by hopping on the excellent tram network linking all the major sights such as the 19th Century Senate Square and Parliament House.
Helsinki truly comes to life during the long summer days with pretty parks, outdoor cafes, colourful waterfront markets and boat trips out to the surrounding islands.

Visit Tallinn, Estonia
Only 65km south of Helsinki across the Baltic lies the old Hanseatic port and capital of Estonia, Tallinn. This is an exciting city to explore with its pretty old walled city, much of which has been refurbished since the fall of communism, markets, castle and examples of Gothic architecture.
A frequent modern catamaran service takes just 1½ hours during the ice-free months and ferries are available throughout the year.

Exploring Finland
To really experience Finland you must get out into its beautiful countryside whatever the season.

Brown Bear Watching in Finland
An opportunity to observe the Wild Brown Bear in it’s natural environment from the comfort and safety of specially designed Bear hides. The hide sites are in a small open wetland with a backdrop of spruce pine and birch forest close to the Russian border in Kuhmo eastern Finland.
The three hides are equipped with comfortable viewing chairs, sleeping areas, hearing amplificatory system to listen to the birds and dry toilets.
In addition to bear you can observe a wide range of birds, deer and if lucky wolverines. This is an excellent location for photographers. All benefit from the 12- 16 hours of direct sunlight and 2-4 hours twilight during the viewing season.

Finnish Holiday Cottages
Staying in a cottage during summer in Finland is almost an official pastime. Come June the Finns jump in their cars and head out into the stunning countryside to their cottages to make the most of the extremely long summer days and clean air.
We have chosen a few locations that offer a diverse style and setting, whether that be by a lake, on the shores of the Archipelago sea or on top of a fell. Some locations are just cabins set in nature while others have a restaurant and some facilities close by.
