Pätiälä Manor holiday cottages, Asikkala

 

 

This holiday centre is 35 km north of Lahti (135 km from Helsinki) and 10 km from the idyllic and beautiful village of Vääksy, where there are several shops and restaurants and, naturally, a market place. The area is just 6 kilometres from the 8-kilometre long Pulkkilanharju moraine ridge, which crosses Finland's second-largest lake, Päijänne.

 

The cottages are along 5 km of shoreline in a tranquil setting in the grounds of the Pätiälä Manor, which dates back to at least the 15th century. The location offers good fishing and boating, access to forest paths for hiking and jogging.

Helsinki 135 km, railway station 35 km, bus 3.6 km, restaurant 5 km, shop 10 km, neighbour 50 m.

 

The cabins vary in size from 30 m² for 2 people up to 50-69 m² for 4 to 6 people.

60 m from the shore of Lake Päijänne (reasonably deep water, clay bottom).

Own boat, pier. Log cabin built 1986, living room/kitchen, sleeping alcove with double bed, dressing room, sauna, 2 x verandas, one to the lake (24 sqm) and the other to the yard.

15m from the shore of Lake Päijänne (shallow water , firm clay/sand bottom).

Own boat. Log cabin built 1981, renovated 2001. Lounge with fireplace, kitchen, bedroom with bunk bed, bedroom with 2 beds, sauna, dressing room, washroom, vestibule, 2 x open veranda. Shower and wc in the cottage. Families only.

A high standard, stylish Wooden chalet built in 2004 just 30 metres from Lake Päijänne (shallow and deep shore, sanded clay bottom) Own boat., kitchen, living room, bedroom 2 beds, bedroom double bed, washroom, hall, open porch. Separate, exclusive lakeshore sauna with washroom, dressing room, glazed porch.

Sauna has electricity, hot and cold water, shower and washing machine. Shower in both buildings.

Large plot, with own jetty and grill at end of avenue of birches.

Lakeside sauna. Sauna shore ideal for children, but shore with jetty is basically for adults.
