This wonderful small husky farm is located in Northern Finland. It has a great informal atmosphere with guests immediately feeling welcome and almost part of the owner Timo’s extended family. Visitors to the farm soon realise that Timo and his team always have their dogs best interest at heart and love working with them.
This is a unique opportunity to work alongside the experts for a week as they share their knowledge and answer all your questions, a must for all dog lovers.
DAY 1 Scheduled flight from London Heathrow or Manchester via Helsinki to Kuusamo or Oulu.
Transfer from the airport to the husky farm, dinner in the local way, Overnight on farm or in local hotel.
DAY 2 After breakfast a snowmobile or cross country skiing tour to a reindeerfarm. Lunch. Introduction to the reindeer husbandry. Return to the husky farm for an introduction to the sled dog driving and to meet the dogs. Sauna. Dinner and Overnight.
DAY 3-5 A safari day, depending on the conditions 30 - 60 km route in wilderness type of landscape, lunch at campfire, ice fishing possibility. At the end of each day a well deserved sauna, dinner nd overnight in a wilderness hut.
DAY 6 A safari day, arrival at the husky farm for a farewell dinner.
DAY 7 Breakfast, transfer to the airport for a flight via Helsinki to the UK.
