Cross Country Skiing Holidays for everyone

Taivalkoski is a typical Finnish village and is an ideal base for anyone wanting go cross-country skiing. It doesn’t matter what your level of skiing experience you will find trails in the area that will motivate you. The holiday includes skiing equipment and a couple hours each day of cross country training. When you have had enough of skiing you can try the many other activities on offer near the village such as snowmobiling, husky sled rides or visit a reindeer farm.

Hotel Herkko
This 3 star-hotel offers cosy and modern accommodation with private facilities. The hotel has an excellent restaurant, bar, swimming pool and sauna. It is located on the edge of Taivalkoski beside a small downhill skiing center, a ski jumping tower and the trailheads for cross country skiing, snowmobiling, winter hiking and much more. The village is just a short walk away.
Cross Country Skiing Holiday itinerary
Day 1.
Transfer from Kuusamo airport to Hotel Herkko in Taivalkoski. Meet your skiing guide to discuss the week ahead. Dinner. Overnight.
Day 2 – Day 6.
Buffet breakfast.
Guided Cross country ski training. The afternoon free to enjoy the hotels facilities or take part in safaris.
Swim, sauna and dinner.
Day 7.
After breakfast transfer to the airport.

The prices shown throughout the Lapland part of our website represent the cost of the ground arrangements only, to this you will have to add the airfare from wherever you wish to depart from. Previously our prices have included the air fare content of the “package” however recent changes in the way airlines sell their air seats means that air fares and taxes have become more susceptible to change and therefore do not remain at the same constant level throughout the validity of the programmes on offer. Therefore the earlier you book the better chance you will have to obtain the best possible air fare. When you have decided on your ground arrangement, please call us and we will endeavour to find the lowest airfare possible. To obtain the lowest fares airlines now require early booking and full payment for the flights at the time of booking, full payment for the flights will be in addition to the £100* deposit required for the ground arrangements. * Full payment is required if booked within 8 weeks of departure
