Day 1

Arrival at Kittilä airport, transfer to Muonio, Harriniva Holiday Centre.

Meet your safari group for a short introduction to the programme.

Dinner and overnight in shared log cabins near Harriniva.

 

Day 2

After breakfast collect your safari equipment.

Meet your dogs, the sleds will be packed and you will be taught how to handle the sled. After lunch start the safari.

 

Day 2 - 6

The safari will take you through the beautiful winter scenery close to the Pallas-Ounas National Park in the West of Lapland. Overnight stays in simple but cosy huts with sauna and shared accommodation, but without shower, wc and electricity. You must take care of your dog team and help to prepare the meals together. Breakfast and dinner are prepared in the huts, the light lunch by an open fire in the wilderness.

 

Day 6

During the afternoon return to Harriniva.

In the evening meet up for a farewell dinner.

Overnight in shared log cabins near Harriniva.

 

Day 7

After breakfast transfer to Kittilä airport for a flight home via Helsinki.

	The prices shown throughout the Lapland part of our website represent the cost of the ground arrangements only, to this you will have to add the airfare from wherever you wish to depart from. Previously our prices have included the air fare content of the “package” however recent changes in the way airlines sell their air seats means that air fares and taxes have become more susceptible to change and therefore do not remain at the same constant level throughout the validity of the programmes on offer. Therefore the earlier you book the better chance you will have to obtain the best possible air fare. When you have decided on your ground arrangement, please call us and we will endeavour to find the lowest airfare possible.
