Levi Ski Country

Levi, located in western Lapland, enjoys easy access to Kittilä airport just 20 minutes away, it is not unusual for clients to turn up at check-in still wearing their crosscountry skis. Levi is Finland’s most popular or maybe trendiest downhill ski resort. With a height of just 325m it is obvious the fell cannot compete with the Alps but it is the ideal location for beginners with a laid back atmosphere, wide slopes, easy access from the resort, good ski school and minimal to nonexistent lift queues.

As the resort offers such a wide range of activities during the winter such as snowmobiling and husky safaris it is also the perfect location for those looking for an activity based holiday of which skiing is just one element. Visitors throughout the year appreciate the spa at the centre of the resort with its pool, saunas, jacuzzis and treatments especially after an energetic day. The resort caters for families with play areas, crèche and children’s ski school.

Hotel Hullu Poro (Crazy Reindeer) prides itself on its personal service and cosy Lappish atmosphere. Ideally located for the ski lifts (200m) and cross-country trails guests can choose from a range of accommodation such as double and family rooms, spacious suites and a limited number of 6 bedded cabins.

The hotel is equally proud of it’s cuisine whether it be light meals in the popular bar that often plays host to bands or fine local cuisine in it’s more formal restaurants, these facilities are located in a separate building so as not to disturb clients wishing to retire early after a hard day of activities.
