Ice Breaker & Ice Hotel Experience
This is a unique opportunity to take a cruise on an Ice-breaker, which will take you into the Bay of Bothnia that lies between Finland and Sweden. You can don survival suits and take a swim surrounded by the pack ice!
Departures: Late January – Mid April 2008.

4 day itinerary
Day 1
Scheduled flight from Heathrow or Manchester via Helsinki to Kemi.
Transfer by taxi from airport to Hotel Cumulus or Hotel Merihovi. Overnight in double rooms with breakfast.
Day 2
After the breakfast a guide will pick you up from the hotel and help you change into warm safari outfits. The snowmobile safari to the icebreaker Sampo will start. You will meet the icebreaker on the ice field and after boarding begins the journey through the ice. The cruise includes a guided tour on board, ice swimming and lunch
The safari to a Lapp teepee continues by snowmobiles and after coffee pause and a short drive in reindeer sledge with a real reindeer herder back to hotel.

Day 3
Breakfast at hotel
Husky team safari of 3 hours including safari outfits and lunch.
Overnight at SnowHotel in double room
Day 4
Breakfast at hotel. Optional reindeer safaris available upon request, not included in the package. Transfer to the airport by taxi for a flight via Helsinki to the UK.
