Arctic Hotel Pohtimo enjoys a wonderful location set deep in the forest overlooking its own lake just 25km from Rovaniemi. Whatever the season it is an excellent location for those wishing to make the most of their surroundings as extensive hiking, snowmobiling and cross country skiing trails start from the door. It is ideal for those looking for a high standard of accommodation in an isolated, relaxed setting. Once guests arrive they rarely venture far unless on a safari but one of the locations benefits is that it allows access, by taxi, to Lapland’s capital, Rovaniemi, with its wide range of shops and entertainment.

Arctic hotel really is a gem. The main hotel has 58 rooms, many designed with families in mind as they have built in bunk beds and space for further beds. All rooms enjoy views across the lake or forest. A recent addition is ten beautiful lakeside chalets allowing guests greater independence while still have the hotel facilities on their door step. The hotel boasts a cosy lobby bar and fine a la carte restaurant with an open fireplace and forest views.

When not out on safaris, during winter guests love to toboggan on nearby slopes. During summer guests can swim in the lake, go fishing or explore the surrounding forest.

Accommodation types

	Hotel room 1-5 people: Twin and family rooms all ensuite shower, wc, hairdryer, TV and radio. Chalet 2-5 people: Lakeside chalets set in the forest a short walk from the hotel. All have a twin bedroom, loft room with twin beds and if required an additional bed can be added. Facilities include kitchen, lounge with fireplace, shower, wc and private sauna.
