Ronnums Herrgård Vänern
Located just a couple of miles from the southern tip of Sweden’s largest lake, Vänern, and with excellent hiking trails through nearby wooded fells Ronnums Herrgård makes a lovely contrast to the coastal hotels we offer.
During summer there are daily Elk watching bus tours into the forest and several nearby courses make it a must for any golfer. The hotel is set in parkland.
Accommodation consists of 30 twin rooms with wc and shower in the main hotel and a small number of rooms and suites in houses set in the park.
The hotel over the last 15 years has developed an excellent gourmet kitchen working with local produce such as game provided by hunters and fish from nearby Lake Vänern, which is served in a pretty, light and airy restaurant overlooking the gardens.

Bjertorp Slott near Kvanum
This 1910, Art Nouveau manor house hotel has an air of eccentricity about it. This countryside hotel is situated in an out of the way location, set in large grounds next to an excellent 18 hole golf course.
The impressive public rooms feature lots of warm wood and rich colours with a wonderful restaurant, lounges and sun-room leading out onto a terrace.
The 35 hotel rooms all have private facilities, TV and hairdryer. The superb kitchen makes good use of the regions produce, especially the excellent local lamb and herbs from the hotel’s own garden.

Stenebynäs near Bengtsfors
In the heart of Dalsland is the beautiful 200 acre family run estate of Stenebynäs. It enjoys a tranquil and stunning location at the end of a peninsula in Lake Iväg. Accommodation is in four traditional houses that have been painstakingly refurbished to the highest standard by the Berger family. They really do feel like a cosy home, with fully equipped kitchens, tasteful, traditional furniture and wonderful views.
Accommodation is self catering, the nearest shop is 20km away and an excellent restaurant Falkholts Gestgifveri is close by.
Svalan:
For up to 9 people. Suitable for a big family or friends sharing. Set by the lake it has 2 double and 5 single rooms, two shower rooms, living room with open fireplace and a large open kitchen.
Korpen:
For 4-6 people. Includes two twin bedrooms, shower room, large living room with an open kitchen. If required an additional twin room with external access is available in connection with Korpen.
Duvan:
For 4 people. An old style house with a large balcony facing the lake, just 70 metres away.
A twin bedroom and a double leading onto the balcony, lounge with open fire, dining room, fully equipped kitchen and basic shower room.
Lommen:
Max 5 people. The newest addition is set in isolation a few hundred metres from the main house, once again overlooking the lake. It has a single room downstairs, lounge over looking the lake, a new kitchen and bathroom. Upstairs in the eaves is a double bedroom. Behind, just 10 metres away, is a small cabin that has twin beds that is only ever used in connection with Lommen. The cottage has a private jetty and sun deck.
All have grill and terrace furniture.
Guests have access to kayaks, canoes, a private tennis court set in the forest and can swim from 4 kilometres of private shoreline. Fishermen can use the small wooden boats to access the plentiful supply of perch and pike on the lake.
Stenebynäs welcomes guests year round.

Thorskogs Slott Vasterlanda
Located inland 30 minutes north of Gothenburg Thorskogs Slott is a fairytale manor house, whatever time of year you visit, set in beautiful grounds and with one or two turrets thrown in for good measure.
During summer the hardest challenge is getting a room as it is every girls dream to get married in such a setting.
Accommodation, standard rooms and suites are located in a pretty red wooden building in the manor house or in houses set among the grounds.
During the day follow one of the many hiking trails up through the forest to the lakes, where you will find boats for your use, try your hand on the hotels putting green or relax in the sauna and hot tubs. The area boasts several good golf courses and a riding school.
You will not find televisions in the hotel as clients are encouraged to spend the evening relaxing over a drink (an honour system is in place), enjoy a wonderful meal and the more energetic may choose to play billiards and darts.
